Famous female #5--Jane Goodall!!!!

Our final famous female came to visit today!  Jane Goodall came to our classroom and taught the girls all about her passion of animals and her work in Africa.  The girls loved every moment and even got their own chimpanzee to take home.  Many thanks to Sloane's mom, Karen, for coming in and teaching the girls about this amazing woman.

We finally would like to thank Tessa's mom, Elena, and Amanda's mom, Kimberly, for putting together our Tea Party to celebrate all of the famous women we have learned about over the past few weeks.  It was a great way to start our Spring Break!  Have safe travels and a relaxing week off!

Famous female #4--Althea Gibson!

Believe it or not, Althea Gibson visited our classroom today!  The girls learned many important facts about this wonderful woman and even got a free tennis lesson from this expert.  Many thanks to Inez's mom, Talia, for stopping by and getting the girls out of the classroom on such a beautiful day!

Famous female #3--Eleanor Roosevelt!

What a way to make an entrance!  Eleanor was lucky enough to have Amelia Earhart on-call to fly her into our clasroom this morning.  The girls learned so much about this famous woman and really enjoyed learning about all of the wonderful things she did for our country.  We would like to send a big THANK YOU to Amanda's mom, Kimberly, for channeling Eleanor and visiting our girls.

Famous female #2--Pocahontas!!!

We were lucky enough to have Pocahontas visit our classroom today!  The girls learned about the history of Pocahontas and why she was such an important woman.  A big thank you to Mackenzie's mom, Lisa, for an amazing presentation and the abilty to pull a Superman-type move and change costume mid-presentation!

Famous female visit #1--Shannon Diesch!!!!

We had our first famous female visitor today...Shannon Diesch!  The girls were in for quite a treat when this famous high schooler walked through our door.  Not many of us had heard of her before today, but after her visit, I think many of your daughters might come home asking to enter science contests.  Many thanks to Molly's mom, Allison, for being such a brave mom and going first!

BMA Field Trip

We were lucky enough to get a behind-the-scenes tour of the BMA last week.  The girls learned so much and we had a great time!  A HUGE THANK YOU to Elizabeth Rosenbaum's parents, Mike & Amy, for arranging the field trip and being brave enough to join 16 Pre-Firsters for the morning.
